Welcome to Bike Flux Vault. By accessing or using www.bikeflux.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By registering an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

2 Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not transfer, sell, or share access to your account with any third party.
• You must notify us immediately at support@bikeflux.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3 User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (bike builds, component data, images). By submitting content, you grant Bike Flux Vault a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service.

You agree not to post content that:

• Infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Is false, misleading, defamatory, or deceptive.
• Is obscene, harassing, threatening, or promotes hate or violence.
• Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material.
• Contains malware, scripts, or any code intended to harm or disrupt the Service.
• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we consider, at our sole discretion, to be harmful to the community.

4 Component Database

The Service maintains a shared, crowd-sourced database of bike components. Component data you add (category, brand, part name, weight) becomes part of this shared catalog and may be used by other users' builds. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of community-contributed component data, including weight values.

5 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Circumvent any rate-limiting, CSRF protection, or other security measures.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service without our prior written consent.
• Create multiple accounts for the purpose of evading suspensions or gaming community features (likes, popularity rankings).
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6 Intellectual Property

The Bike Flux Vault name, logo, design, and underlying software are the property of Bike Flux Vault and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

7 Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Component weight data is community-contributed and for informational purposes only. We make no warranty that weight calculations are accurate or suitable for use in competitive or safety-critical contexts. Always verify specifications with the component manufacturer before making purchasing or safety decisions.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bike Flux Vault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance, and thereafter through the courts of competent jurisdiction.
